Transmission & Renewables

TAQA Morocco plays a pivotal role in advancing the Kingdom’s energy transition through the development of a strategic national transmission line linking the southern and central regions. Led in partnership with Nareva and the Mohammed VI Fund for Investment, this project will reinforce the national grid and accelerate the integration of renewable energy at scale.

The new HVDC line will extend over 1,400 km, with a transmission capacity of 3,000 MW, enabling clean energy to flow efficiently from high-production areas to high-demand regions.

Alongside this landmark infrastructure, TAQA Morocco is developing up to 1,200 MW of renewable capacity, combining solar and wind, reaffirming our commitment to decarbonizing the energy mix and fostering local development.

Boujmil Wind Farm

Currently under development in northern Morocco, the Boujmil wind project will deliver 144 MW and generate nearly 400 GWh per year.

Noor PV II Solar Project

TAQA Morocco has secured five lots totaling 96 MW under the Noor PV II tender, covering the full lifecycle of solar assets at Sidi Bennour and Kelaat des Sghrana, from design to long-term operation.

Southern Morocco Solar & Wind Projects

In the south, TAQA Morocco is advancing pre-construction solar and wind sites totaling 600 MW, with feasibility studies underway for an additional 200 MW, reinforcing our long-term commitment to renewable growth across the Kingdom.
